He bought it simply because it was a high-quality business trading at a fair price. While he spent years defending his Apple stake by calling it a consumer brand rather than a tech company, this time he let the AI label on Google stand, and bought it anyway.
This pragmatic entry into the AI space comes with a sharp critique of modern market analysis. Buffett argues that 90% to 95% of what Wall Street publishes is pure merchandising, designed to sell products rather than analyze fundamentals.
